Find the broken rule before your playtesters do.

Game Pilot turns your rulebook into a playable digital twin, then has AI players play it thousands of times. You see where the game tips out of balance and which rules can be read more than one way, in minutes rather than months.

Early access. We're building Game Pilot with our first design partners.

How it works

  1. Bring your rules

Upload the rulebook you already have. No coding, no special format.

  2. Get a digital twin

Game Pilot compiles your rules into a playable model of the game. Wherever the rules leave something open, it asks you what you meant, so the twin plays your game and not a guess.

  3. Read the report

AI players of different strength, from random play to game-theoretic solvers, play thousands of games. Change a rule and re-run it in minutes.

What the report checks

Every finding links to the games that produced it, so you can see the evidence rather than take an opinion on trust.

Human playtesting still tells you whether the game is fun. Game Pilot takes care of the arithmetic, so your playtesters' time goes on the questions only people can answer.

Seat advantage
Does the first player, or any seat, win more often than chance allows?
Dominant strategies
Is there one line of play that beats everything else?
Dead mechanics
Which actions, cards or spaces are almost never worth using?
Skill reward
Do stronger players actually win more, or is the outcome mostly luck?
Game length
Does the game end too early, drag on, or stall completely?
Rules clarity
Which rules could be read more than one way, and exactly where?

Who it's for

Board game designers

Get statistical answers between playtest sessions, and bring your playtesters a better game each time.

Publishers

Check submissions and development builds consistently, before committing to print.

Digital studios

Card, strategy and tactics games with rule-heavy systems are next on our roadmap. Tell us if that's you.

Become a design partner

We're working closely with a small group of designers and publishers to shape what Game Pilot does first.

Get in touch

You get

Free use during early access, analysis of your own prototype, and a direct say in what we build next.

We ask for

A rulebook or prototype you're working on, and an hour of honest feedback on what the report told you.

Your game stays yours

Your rules and designs are never shared, never published and never used to train AI models. We're happy to sign an NDA.

Who's behind it

Game Pilot is built by Mikko Heikelä, a technology leader and game designer. He is CTO of eduMe, the London edtech company, where he scaled engineering through Series A and B. Before that he spent 13 years at Futurice, the design-led Nordic R&D consultancy, in Helsinki, Berlin and London. He designs board and computer games himself, so he has the problem Game Pilot solves.
